Well. Last night, we drove to Leuchars, dropped off Katie's friend and I tried not to crash by howling with laughter, listening to Derya's attempts to teach German. We all got rather suck on the phrase "ICH LIEBE KUNICHEN!" which translates to "I LOVE RABBITS!"

Anyway, we flailed about trying to find parking and then ran into the cinema. We missed the first five minutes (NOT BEST PLEASED) and then proceeded to have seats separately as we were that late.

HOWEVER.

Oh gosh.

It's my least favourite book. But I quite enjoyed this film. Death Eaters were as SCARY AS FUCK - quite genuinely. The thing is, though, only the middle of it really made any sense!

I'm not complaining, because the middle of this film was lovely, it really was. It all fitted nicely, even if a lot of stuff was just given a cursury glance. Other than the fact Hermione is a yah (she IS IS IS) the Trio worked nicely together. Ron and Harry! Bless their little cotton socks with stupid arguments and stuff. The scene in the working room with Snape was brilliant, too. I liked the Ball, too.

Neville! I love Neville and I knew there was a good reason for this. He's so sweet! Oh, bless him. "I've only just got in! Me!"

The Twins hold my unequivocable love. In fact, I think, after the Marauders? Favouritist ever.

Tennant! ... looked a lot like the Doctor in the courtroom scene. Well, he did. Which threw me a lot.

Voldemort. Um. I think Katie summed it up best. "It's just Ralph Fiennes with blue-tack over his nose." He started off well, but Voldemort in my head is cold and cruel and calculating. This one had nancey moments. Sorry, it was true. Oh well.

Champions lines:

Fleur: two in English
Krum: ditto
Cedric: five! Mostly before he died.

Harrumph. I liked Cedric, too. Speaking off, the scene were Harry bought his body back was absolutely perfect with sheer visceral horror. No, seriously. I don't know how they got Daniel Radcliffe to cry - current theory is they wired electrdes into his brain - but it was so right. I cried. It has to be said.

Dumbledore - wee bit too angry at times?

Oh, and I have corrupted nmy housemates. We were sat near enough each other to actually hear them ALL sniggering at the "Go to bed, you two!" line. That was the one that let you know where the fangirls were sitting. Although the costumes were the second big hint.

I liked it, but I think I need to see it again. BUT I HAVE NO MONEY TO DO SO.

Today is Raisin Sunday. The drinking festivities start just over an hour, when our sister comes to pick us up. This should be mental, I think. I am feeling slightly healthier but still sound like a croaking toad. Argh.

One of the first things I said when I came out of the screen was, "They finally got him to cry." That part was just so sad. By contrast, the working room scene had me cracking up. *rolls up sleeves* :D

I'm seeing it again this weekend when I go home, shall let you know what it's like on a second viewing.

Yes! The crying, and David Tennant. Oh ... I can't wait for the 10th Doctor. Also; much agreement about Ralph Fiennes.
