I'm not posh, but I'm absolutely dying of this throat thing. Seriously, it actually hurts unless I very carefully pronounce all my words. The alternative is slurring so much that I can hardly be understood. Also, that was my phone voice.
I am SO going to make a phone post when I'm drunk.
you sound surprisingly like my sister when you have a cold and are speaking 'posh' :P (think what you will about my sister, but she's not posh)
maybe one day i'll inflict my delightful mancunian hybrid lancashire/yorkshire tones on you all, maybe. (i rememebr a tape i made when I was about 14 to cheer my friend up when she was ill in hospital, my voice horrifies me)
I hope you feel better soon, sleep for a week that should help!
My voice horrifies me more, especially when I'm actually squeak in a tutorial because my voice won't hit that vocal range anymore. All I was trying to do was express an opinion about the Ottoman Empire...
Well, that was highly amusing. I was just going to lurk tonight, but this just had to be commented on.
Your accent is not half as broad as I imagined. Apart from the odd.. flat? vowel, you sound rather posh. Even when you put on your proper accent. You do sound ill though. Perhaps when in good health, you do actually speak like the barbarian Northerner you are. (I'm going Up North next week and I'm TERRIFIED.)
I sound posh at the moment and I'm painfully aware of it. Will make proper voice post soon, honestly. I'm more broad normally, and the vowels are flat. This is true. I sound barbarian for stadards around here and posh for standards where I come from at the best of times. I DO NOT WIN.
Why are you going Oop North? And have you packed your mammoth hunting gear?
Go to America, then your accent will be "quaint" and/or "adorable".
Sheffield have invited me to a post-application open day. I'm not sure if I'm going to go. My mother was going to take me in the car, but now I have to go by myself and get the train, which I can't afford, at 5am to get there for 11 when I'm meant to be there at 10.30. And then have to get a tram. Which I have only done once before, in the snow, in the middle of a busy Christmas market, in Germany, with a large group of Germans who knew what they were doing.
And then I'll not be able to understand a word anyone's saying. And get mugged. And fall down a mine. And come home with an accent.
