Nov. 27th, 2005 11:52 pmAs we are all aware, I am easily amused. I was much more easily amused by the DocSoc quiz tonight. I may, possibly, have watched City of Death too often, but I won two thirds of the quiz. Given that there are three questions and you get a prize for everything you answer, I was somewhat proud.
"What Bible did Scarlioni try to sell-"
"Guttenberg." This won me soup, with which I could begin my own civilisation. Or, as it is Heinz and therefore a Named Brand, eat for THREE DAYS SOLID.
"According to the Doctor, what type of wine in Paris in 1979?"
"Table wine!" They said, with all solemnity, that they were going to pay for a trip to Paris, but they figured that a map to Paris would be more useful and also cheaper. This is pinned to the lounge wall and now makes me happy. We ran into Coral, Euan and Chris in quick succession on the way through Albany, and that was nice in that I actually spoke to people. And we went to the neighbours for a bit, and I felt bad as I had to turn the Liverpool Ones down for a lift back to Liverpool. There isn't space in the car for four people's baggage - there'll be me and my stuff, Simon and his (and I have a definite date for when he's coming to visit! YES!), plus Georgina and Clive. My Skoda is weeny! I did say I'd take them back up, though, as I can put one of the seats down and create a hell of a lot more space. Hurrah and suchforth.
I have done my tutorial reading (ALL FROM A-LEVEL ARGH I AM PAYING FOR THIS ARGH), organised my bookcase (but not my notes, which are looking at my accusingly from my right side) and now must do my Spanish. My bed is calling, though, as I am all sore, possibly because I slept oddly. I Do Not Know. Arthur is playing up something chronic, though, and all my calf is incredibly sore from the odd way I have to walk. It's not too awful - well, it's been worse - but I would very much like for it to be normal, and also not to rain tomorrow, as I can't wear my Docs as I'm too swollen up and every other shoe I own leaks. Maybe I could take the yah approach and wear flip flips?
I am listening to Kate Bush. This can't be normal.
