Dec. 6th, 2005 11:20 amWell, I've done my tutorial reading (BY GOD) and I did a mock-test on the internet and seemed to do quite well. I then cleaned the bathroom, because that is what sane people do at midnight. More importantly, the water pressure is fixed so we can actually go into the upstairs bathroom, hence the mad cleaning.
I have done no more of the vital reading for the essay that is due in on Monday. It is going to be done very badly, I think, what with the fact that over the weekend, we have the Bop on Friday, Christmas dinner on Saturday (14 people and counting ARGH) and then it's the Christmas Ball on Sunday.
I am going to be busy tonight. Why tonight? Because
zeta_of_s is turning up tomorrow. That makes the week a happier and shinier place. In all honestly, it does as well, that's not just hyperbole of something like that. I have missed him rather a lot, and due to Cambridge being full of lazy sorry, um, pretentious I mean hard-working souls who only do an eight week term he will be here for a full 12 days. Tenancy agreement be damned, I say! I can't wait. Also, he is bringing my hair straighteners and high heels so yay for that.
Even if I will have to frantically clean tonight. Our lounge is FOUL (last night means we now have kartoffel in the carpet OH GOD) and it's just best not to get into the state of my bedroom. So, tonight will be reading, cleaning, homework, possibly more reading and at some point sleep. Maybe.
I am hungry and have too much work to do. Bah. *meanders off to The Evolution of Charity*

Date: 2005-12-06 03:46 pm (UTC)Simon and me hail from the same weeny little town on the outskirts of Liverpool. I left my high heels there, so he is picking them up. The hair straighteners are also being picked up. I am not like most girls. Most girls have hair straighteners that are pansy-ass weak things for people with practically straight hair. My hair? The term 'white girl afro' is used on a regular basis. I need specialist straighteners. And due to the wonder that is genetics, my sister has similar hair and my mum just likes getting uber-straight hair. (The crazy-ass hair comes from my Dad's side of the faily.) We only have one set of straighteners in the entire family, so they stayed in the little town.
However, I acquried permission (read: begged and argued with my sister over the phone) to have them for the Christmas Ball here at uni. So, Simon is bringing my straighteners too!
The kartoffel has no bacon bits, and is ACTUALLY from ACTUAL Germany, with the German housemate bringing loads back at Reading Week. But you can buy it in Lidl. Which amuses us.

BTW, the friend I mentioned a while ago? I tried making an introductory post on my journal, then realised that probably neither of you had read it. I therefore point you at this post, as I fell it might resonate with you.
