Kim just came around. She is moving in! No random JSA for us, oh no!
God help her. On the bright side, she does not require a cupboard and will instead jump into the communist style living we have in House 27. This is a good thing, as we have no cupboard going spare, but food will fit in.
I have Spoken to Selda and she seems... the same as always. I suppose everyone has a weird housemate. It may be a bad idea to mention Thor The Hamster who is also moving in, because I think Selda will in fact go insane. Let's make her sign the form first, okay?
This is a very good hing. *nods* The house will actually be full, which is a positive thing, and more importantly there will be another history student in that room, so I can go and steal Books And Stuff. Yay for that.
I am very behind on my revision on the basis that I had to start again as none of it had gone in via the patented highlighter method, but my academic mother has just told me to strive for a five.
It is important to listen to one's parents.
I will pass - looked at the past papers and realised I could easily get a ten, and with a bit of work probably a 14, maybe? So I'm trying the work thing. No problemo, etc. Ignoring Spanish for a good reason, though.
I am starving to death, but I am trying to do a health kick and not eat crap throughout the day. I went to Morrisons and brought fruit, but two apples in a day seem excessive to me. I also bought multi-vitamins because a. I have a piercing that needs healing and so does Katie and b. I suspect I am probably getting ill through lack of vitamins. Eep.
It's been that kind of day, I think.

Date: 2006-01-09 06:05 pm (UTC)I will be stealing books because I am a lazy bum and do not believe in buying or finding my own, fear not.
I will be fine for the exams. As I speak, I'm merrily ignoring medieval economy. Good fun.
Spanish revision? Ha! I wish. I'm sure I'll cope, somehow...

Date: 2006-01-09 07:40 pm (UTC)0 -4.9 = Fail (Fail)
5 - 10.9 = Third (Pass)
11 - 13.9 = 2:2 (Low Merit)
14 - 16.5 = 2:1 (High Merit)
16.6 - 20 = First (Distinction)
Hence the phrase 'strive for a five' - just enough to scrape by. I have been told quite bluntly that I am a High Merit student in history, which is just fine by me.

Date: 2006-01-10 02:01 pm (UTC)The only bugger is that your record card begins with your first year grades. This can lead to much trauma when you forget that fact and find yourself looking at a column of numbers which include a 7. I do it every semester - you'd think I'd learn!
