Well, the service was fine except for the fact I darted in just slightly late because, well, the porter messed me about.
"Is this Emmanual College, please?" (Note the 'please'. I had my best accent on, which is unusual, as university stuff tends to make me go aggressively Northern. My own university does it, nine times out of ten.)
"Well, it says so on the door."
"It's dark. I couldn't see, sorry."
"Well, it is."
"Right. Is there a service on tonight, please?"
"Can't you hear the bells?"
"Erm... yes... erm... does that mean it's on?"
"Means it's starting."
By this point, I still had no idea where the chapel was. Argh.
Anyway. Made it to the service, and it was actually very nice and I only got confused at a few points. Yay for Ye Olde C Of E Service Style.
I didn't genuflect. No pews! THAT threw me.
What else is going on in the world of Colleen (and since I am in his room, Simon? Don't stop nudging him, he will update if I have to hack his account and threaten to post something revealing until his does)? Not a lot. Simon is currently busy - concert in London avec la chamber orchestra (note to self: get better society stuff going on in St A's) because he's multi-talented like that, so I am slobbing around. He came back briefly at midday to pick up his music so discover I was asleep. Still.
Whoops.
Anyway. I should get dressed at some point. And finish the fic I've been working on forever. I may be appealing for a beta tonight! Egads! (It's not very long, I'm just a slow writer.)
I have absolutely nothing to do today of urgency. Except cook. Because some things never change.
Cooking for one. Whoa. Novel new experience.
Anyway. Fic. Possibly new userinfo because it is Le Crap. Arse around and think for a little bit because my head is weird, as we all knew, but today it feels... better, almost, like after a storm sort of thing. If that makes sense?
Right! Get dressed and shower. Also useful, as I smell lke a yak.

Date: 2006-01-30 01:40 pm (UTC)I wasn't sure if I'd be decapitated next time he saw me for excessive nudging. However, since you request, I'll leave the nudge page on auto-reload every 5 seconds when I go to dinner (plus bar time = up to about 4 hours = a lot of nudges). (Yes, this is Oxford; we have dinner, not tea -.-)
But if hacking his account and posting something revealing would work, go for it!
But warn me in advance if it's something I'm going to want to skip over on my flistno subject
Date: 2006-01-30 01:47 pm (UTC)If there's no update in a week (or at least, I haven't started putting bribery on my LJ), though, go for it. And you didn't hear it from me.
