(no subject)

I made it to my first lecture by dint of, well, the lecturer breaking the slide thingie and being late. I slid into my seat (with a comment of 'oh, your hair's different!' from Alex - I am, apparently, ginger, but apparently it is also a good look for me, will get photos soon) and realised that on the first day I was already running late. In my attempt to no longer be a Dirty Skank, I put on mak-up this morning and forgot how long a process eyeliner can be when one is very tired and eneds up jabbing oneself in the eye with it.

I was cleaning my room last night, you see, and I ended up on a bit of an organisational kick. One thing led to another and suddenly it was 1am and my room was tidy, my folders were newly organised, my old stuff was stashed under the bed, but my brain hurt. Tonight, I am going to bed early. No, really, I am.

So, one lecture down, three to go. It is worrying that all three of them are history based and I am stupidly happy about this fact.

Also, my houseates are infiltrating LJ. Okay, I met spockette over the world of LJ, but that's different, somehow. Plus they find my old website which is BEYOND AWFUL (oh, god, the fic when I was younger) and, well, they might read my awful awful fic. That is not a good thing.

Also my LJ is pretentious at times and whilst it is a pretty accurate representation of my life (and worryingly, the way I speak - if me and Kim go into full internet mode, people tend to ask if we're speaking English anymore) but I just find it really weird when it crosses over with RL. Okay, it crosses over a lot, that's not the right term. More a case of, well, I just find it odd when RL people find this journal and my fic as compared to the people like me, who live in the shadowy world of RL and LJ.

All this said, go forth and ointroduce your lovely selves to blood_is_spirit who is referenced upon here as Derya, my lovely German housemate. spockette pimped her so I will do the same.

That doesn't make sense. Blargh. It's early in the morning. What do you expect?

Right. Going to go and made a start on my Russian Lit reading. Because, you see, I am making a New Start and defnitely not going to be late for lectures because I'm poking myself in the eye with eyeliner.

I had that same problem some time ago. My RL friends started finding my lj and started commenting on it to my FACE when we'd meet up at a larp event or something. For ages I wondered how the hell they had found it, then I realized that sna's lj is a basic forum and he's King Larp nearly. So everyone reads his lj to catch up on events and 'what happened there' stuff and then they check out his friends list. And there I am, in all my proud Australian english typing glory. And so they read.

Got used to it though and now I just type whatever the hell I want and make sure they realize I don't give a rat's arse what people think of me. Makes some people wary of me, but whatever, it's the real me ni LJ world so people can either accept that or go screw a banana. :P

yeah, the people in my corridor found my lj a couple of weeks ago and one of them really took exception to my complaints that i was slightly scared of her because she'd yelled at ... that had happened a couple of months before, but i wasn't exactly going to delete the entry just because i felt differently ... i've gotten more security conscious since.
