Feb. 15th, 2006 10:12 pmWell, apparently they're taking my direct debit payment this month and not last month like I previously thought.
God, but I hope these jobs come through. Please, God. I'm so poor it's not funny. If one more person says "Oh, your Mum and Dad will bail you out!" then I will hurt someone. They would like to bail me out, but they can't.
So, outgoing Stuff To Pay:
1. Direct debit for tuition fees
2. Car bill to parents
3. DanceSoc membership (also: ballet shoes)
4. Cambridge May Ball ticket
Also I am going to Cambridge tomorrow and that is expensive. *fret*
Thank you sweet, sweet God of overdraft. I really, really hope the job stuff comes through. I have my Ultimate Emergency Savings that I'd really rather not touch just yet (just about enough to cover one installment of tuition fees) but other than that I'm a bit fucked, really.
However. Ballet was fun! Also shockingly easy - the first actual beginners class. I can still do jete and glissades and stuff with funny accents over them that I can't pronounce properly! This was a good thing. And I am going to Cambridge tomorrow. This is a good thing.
However, I have yet to finish my reading let alone a fucking book report (so... bitter...) for tomorrow so life does not get good just yet. Although last night Kim and I had Ben and Jerrys whilst sat in my room, hiding from the sex going on throughout the house.
Also Katie possibly has mumps. It is all go in the house.
Blargh. I am sleepy but need to do my reading and make a shoddy book report. Curses! I was going to have a work ethic this semester!
In other news, I hacked my sisters MySpace profile. I won't give a link, but I will bring this picture:
My sister is an emo-kid. It's scary. Also she looks about 17. This is WRONG.

The mumps thing scares me since I've never had any form of injection against it in my life...is it true it's going around the town at the moment? Hope your friend's ok.

Date: 2006-02-15 10:58 pm (UTC)And mumps seems to go around uni student like woah XD, I had a housemate with it last year. Was funny watching everyone panic, albeit not as much as they did with the first year girl whose prolonged flu turned out to be glandular fever :X

Date: 2006-02-15 11:08 pm (UTC)Um, it's partially my fault. The mumps episdemic, um, started at my college, I think. Then it spread. A lot. I never got it though because I am super-imunised. w00t!

Date: 2006-02-15 10:57 pm (UTC)I haven't been out of my overdraft since first year uni :). There's no shame in it. Atm I'm trying to decide if I'd rather finish this year back in the black (for all of two seconds before my uni costs whack me in the face), or with hot water at home after paying to fix the boiler. Washing with a bucket makes such a mess XD, and isn't exactly dignified. Especially if you're doing it in the kitchen and trying to figure how to wash without the neighbours perving in through the oversized windows XD XD.
If I ever attempted ballet, btw, the results would be HILARIOUS. I am huge, clumsy, and have size 8 feet. They'd see me coming in and flee for safety XD.

Date: 2006-02-15 11:07 pm (UTC)I just like fiscal security and overdraft does not equal that for me.

Since...
And that would be why I don't mind my overdraft ^_-. I just think of it as a free loan from the bank, which it essentially is so long as it remains at 0% interest.
