hathycolHave just spent the afternoon trying to get books for Russian (no joy - I might book some tonight for tomorrow's use) and arsing about on the internet.
Also went and did an audition for Wyrd Sisters. In the end I auditioned as Nanny Ogg (no way will I get that) and also the Duchess. I doubt I'll get a callback, let alone a part, because I have pretty much no experience and there were a lot more experienced people there.
Today is Pancake Tuesday! But I can't make pancakes and Derya is working. This brings me pain, as I've starving to death.
Also I have to go to Mass tomorrow at ten. Why have I suddenly decided to go? No idea, other than fear for my immortal soul and all that junk. The CathSoc website scares me. Intensely. Also, I am giving up biscuits so... well... put it this way, I have a whole packet of ginger nuts to consume tonight. REMOVE TEMPTATION, YOU SEE.
Right. This post is crap and I need to go and make a cup of tea and print off my gobbet for Wednesday. And then I may take this evening off, because I was so utterly stressed about housing last night (long and boring story) and got so little sleep that I don't think I could work well if I wanted to. I might have a look at the Anna Komnenos stuff first, but, well, eh. Mediaevel history is boring this semester. Honestly, I don't actually care about Byzantine, and I foolishly assumed the Crusades would be interesting. OH HOW WRONG I WAS.
And today it snowed. Briefly. But it did, and that's what counts.

That's what I get for having a pancake party and inviting the whole world to my house (18 eggs, a whole bag of flour and 8 pints of milk . . .) It was great, but I really don't want to see a pancake again for a long time
