hathycolToday I have not been sick, which means Katie is not contagious, which is definitely a Positive Thing.
Also, I went to Work.
That's right. I went to work. I earned a grand total of £21.00. Including tips. (It would have been £23.00, but I sort of forgot to charge delivery for the secodn guy who actually tipped £1.50 so I didn't lose out too much there.) For five hours work. It is more than I got at Homebase, as I am grateful for this, and apparently it was a slow night. Thank fucking God it was is all I can say. I got horribly lost. Well, not that often, I always found the place, but the houses are NUMBERED WITH NO REGARD FOR SANITY so I did a lot of randomised driving around. On a busy night, I can see how I would make more.
Please, people, tip your delivery driver. They are paid by delivery, not by the hour and trust me they are getting to your house as quickly as possible. In St Andrews, HOUSE 10 IS NEXT TO HOUSE 6 and THE DOOR IS ON THE SIDE AND COMPLETELY INVISIBLE TO THE ROAD. Be glad I turned up at all.
I did not eat before I left the house. This was a mistake, because I did not eat until about 10.00pm. I did get a free meal, though, which I promptly shared with Kim. I like free food. It makes the Colleen happy.
So, I have food and socialising money for the next week and I am working much more in the next few weeks, and by GOD I know the local council/ex-council estates well now. So that should be a good thing, and means I won't touch the savings money. My overdraft will be slowly paid off, huzzah! And, frankly, that is what counts. Besides, free food. That's a whole night - or more - that's cheaper. Yay. Etc.
I smell of Chinese food, but we don't get hot water after 10.30pm. Wonder if it's worth risking it for what's in the tank?
... you know, given I had over 10 hours sleep last night and have done nothinhg today but drive pretty short distances, I am much more tired than I should be. *yawns* Shower, clean my room and posibly go to bed. No uni work is going to get done tonight.
