So, because I am in fact WRONG IN THE HEAD I decided that the best time to leave all my tutorial reading to was tonight. I was going to do some Work this week - no, honestly, I had plans to go to lectures and stuff. Problem is, modern history has now been officially flung out of the window so I can't blag the tutorial based on the lectures, so I have to now actually do the reading. Buggar!

To make matters worse, guess who got lumped with the presentation for ME1002 tomorrow at 2pm? Yes, that would be ME. I have, erm, done the reading and made the first two relatively coherant points on the handouts. ("These are the sources I used. They are biased sometimes. The Muslim rulers liked the dhimmi and the Christians weren't really Christian until it became a reaction against the Arabic rulers. I won't say what rulers because I DO NOT SPEAK ARABIC AND THE NAMES CONFUSE ME AS THEY ARE SPELT DIFFERENTLY EVERY DAMNED TIME.") I still have many coherant points to make (ten minutes! Argh!) and this is going to be sucky.

I have been well-trained, though, and Derya and Simon are having the bonding time of the work-exiled people next door, watching Corpse Bride so at least I don't feel entirely guilty. Although I should, because I am writing this before my brain EXPLODES IN A PUDDLE OF SPANISH HISTORY.

I am also definitely not almost crying with laughter at the wonder and brilliance that is When The Marauders Met Daniel Jackson And Met Ethan and Giles And Met Crowley And Met Brian Slade And Met A Fandom Which I Do Know because it is love.

Oh well. After tomorrow I am officially on holidy for uni sssh, don't tell my mum she thinks I finish a week later than that but I have three shifts at work ahead of me. JOY AND RAPTURE.

Right. Al-Andalus. But I think the grammatical way is al-Andalus. Erm. I think I need to know some Arabic. Buggar. I have enough trouble with the wee bits of Latin and French and German that are needed for most other sources. This is a whole new language family. Erk.
