Ahahahaha I've seen it and IT'S NOT EVEN SUNDAY YET. Well, it is. But not. Sort of.

Anyway, my thoughts on

Oh, there's going to be complaints about this one. It was as scary as fuck and terrified the living daylights out of me. I AM IN SCOTLAND NOW YOU SEE SO I WILL BE EATEN AND I HAVE NO MISTLETOE AND WAAAAH. Seriously, though, the wolf was scary, but the human was scarier. If that makes sense.

Speaking of Scotland, David Tennant's accent is love. And I live with three Scots who are also chuffed to see it included.

(I had a wonderful conversation with Bloke earlier on today where I casually mentioned

"God, the accent in the trailer! It just does things, eehee."

A brief pause. "... I'm losing against David Tennant again, aren't I?")

Bad Wolf popping up again? That interested me, and I wanted to see Rose confronting it.

The Royal Family are werewolves. I find this funny. BECAUSE YOU SEE I AM AT THE SAME UNIVERSITY THAT ONE OF THEM WENT TO RECENTLY OH GOD OH GOD I'M GOING TO DIE. *cowers*

Sir Robert plays Jamie in No Angels. I know that no one who reads this will get my incoherant squee about that, but if you are reading it, get hold of some No Angels DVDs. Fab TV program, involves Lynda-With-A-Y and now apparently Sir Robert too. Lovely!

Torchwood! Okay, this leads to some very long and rambly thoughts about why they didn't, you know, beat the hell out of Pertwee and why my beloved UNIT is not being mentioned more, but it's okay. I can deal with that. They might not recognise the Doctor, after all.

Queen Victoria bitchslapping them both at the end gave me tremendous happiness. The Doctor was as the Doctor always was, but Rose was too... OTT. Also, I am getting mildly fed up of the Doctor taking Rose to be a tourist. Just mildly. I like to think he's being manipulative and knew what he was doing ALL ALONG.

Isn't it yew that traditionally makes the werewolf buggar off, not mistletoe?

Ninja monks. Just not as cool as I was hoping, alas.

A few people have mentioned the directing; combine that with the sound effects (the creeping noises of the wolf were the scariest thing ever!) it made for a thoroughly effective horror story and generally an episode that I really, really enjoyed. Yay!

All in all, I am a very, very happy bunny. But now, I am going to go and collapse in bed, because my hangover only went away when I fed Chinese food at it. On the bright side, I made over £20 this week and put my name down for all the Friday shifts next month. Me for the win! Okay, I have to watch School Reunion on the computer *wails* but everything else I get REAL TV FOR. *dances*

Also house appears to have gone collectively insane whilst was at work. Find this pertubing. Tomorrow could be problematic.

But now? Bed. I have tap tomorrow.

[eta: the BBC website is ths scariest thing ever, right now.]
