grey ships melting in the dead of night
May. 11th, 2006 11:45 amHello world.
Today I am writing an LJ post on the basis that I don't want to leave my room, because they are going to play the new Muse song.
I am sad. I know this.
Anyway. Last night, I was talking to Simon. For various and assorted reasons (mostly, apparently maths exams are hard - who knew?) we had been holding off doing The Visiting Thing until June.
Erm, not so much now. I'm nancing down to Cambridge, armed with copious amounts of my own revision, on Thursday for a few days. This involves having to not go to work on Friday, but I'm going in tomorrow and declaring that I can't go. I don't care if it makes problems, it's my last shift until September and I AM NOT GOING. I just got a facebook message informing me that Mary couldn't do the shift, so I will have to go and get phone numbers and basically REFUSE TO BE WORKING. I have covered for enough shifts, and turned up at random intervals, to be owed one, methinks.
So, yes. That is my plan in a week. It does involve me having to now do revision this weekened and change around my revision schedule, but that can work. I can read on a train, and it's reading that I need to do a lot of: all of the Byzantium tracts, Joinville and Villehardoin's Chronicles of the Crusades and all remnants of the Russian Lit course. So that is good too.
Also, I quite like having a break from this house. It is sad, because Kim is leaving today and I will miss her something rotten, and Katie has apparently moved into Mohawk's because I haven't seen her for a good few days, and Sarah and Derya have a much more hellish exam schedule than me so are alternatively clinging onto each other or being uber-stressed, and all in all, I should just get the hell out of dodge for a few days.
Well. In a week. Because I am going to be Strong and tell Mrs W that I CAN'T WORK on that weekend and that is a end of that.
Grrr, etc.
Oh, yay! Muse! I can go and eat breakfast in three minutes, then!
Anyway. I have an exam on Saturday and am working tomorrow night, so I should get down to my revisiony self. I have about five lectures to go through that I haven't already covered in my revision schedule, thn I need to just go over everything again. ME FOR THE WIN. Since I have prepared so well for this exam, I will obviously fail spectacularly.
