I have finished first year.
Holy mother of God. I've been here for a year.
A year.
And due to going back to work tomorrow, and then being pretty drunk for the rest of it, I don't know if I'm going to get the time to do the whimsical update, so I suppose I should go and do that right about now.
I've done a year of university. My results have yet to come in, but that could be any time, so I'm not going to get my hopes up. I have, as far as I know, not actively failed anything. I have, you know, made some friends and managed to live with other humans without being actively set on fire. I have managed with, well, no doubts whatsoever, a whole year apart in a Long Distance Relationship, which I'm told is tricky. I am not at the end of my overdraft limit, although I'm not so good with the finances. I do, however, now have two whole part-time jobs, which might keep me solvent next year. I have not developed scurvy, which was a bit of a concern before I came here. I have been seriously ill once, and had any number of any other complaints. I haven't broken a bone, or got alcohol poisoning. (Although there is time yet.) I haven't been arrested but I have stolen a traffic cone. All in all, I have been tremedously average as a student, although I think I have learned how to dance slightly better. Also some history stuff, some Spanish, and a bit of Russian, but, well, that's not important yet.
And now, Selda is moving out, which is bizarre and weird. It only feels like yesterday that we all moved in. I'm going to clean my room a bit, for a look of the thing, and then I'm going to curl up with Small Gods and a sandwich. Good fun.
