hathycolThere we are, then. I am being paid more money than I have ever been paid before (well, before tax) to work in a kitchen in a heatwave. I, theoretically, will be pulling in about £172 a week (again, before tax) so that is good and shiny. At the minimum, I should be able to pull in just over a grand, and here's hoping that people stay, you know, ill (in a good and non-dying way, obviously) so that I can keep on pulling in the money. However, my overdraft is officially paid off as of a few weeks time, and hopefully after that I will be able to put a little bit in funds to go towards The Wedding.
(Yes, really. The plan is that the work I do during term-time will keep me solvent, so I'll always have a little bit floating around the ISA to use after university for possibly Wedding Stuff. Although given that I have to spend some stuff this summer and whatnot I do not know. We'll see. It's just an idea.)
It's disgustingly hot, though. I've burnt my arm just by driving around in the sun, which is never good, and now I'm uncomfortably aware that I'm all sticky with sweat and probably smell. Lovely.
... what am I meant to do with the rest of my day? I've been awake since 9.30am, so now I'm a bit stuck for something to actually do.
[eta: in happier news, I have Thursday off. And that is also the day I have tickets to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 *preens* so that is good timing all around.]
