hathycolI went into work this morning ready to snap. I actually did, a little, with a bark of "THE TEA IS ON THE WAY I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" which means that one of the ladies if a little off with me but I don't CARE because it was SO LIBERATING. I am aware that old people live on tea, but I am also aware that when I am running around handing out butter and maramalade and haven't given anyone tea yet, and when someone has NO SIGNS OF DEMENTIA (which means that such bloody stupid questions are allowed) then I am not going to drop anything to get you tea. I AM NOT A WAITRESS.
*breathes*
In happier news, the kitchen hit about 40 degrees at lunchtime and I almost killed a maintenance worker with a ladle because he was moaning about how hot it was in the room he was working in. SHUT THE FUCK UP UNTIL YOU'RE WORKING IN THE DAMNED KITCHEN.
So, to make up for my rage, I bought the new Muse album. I am aware that any Muse album takes me about a day to get into, so I'm still trying right now. It's bit more... um... concepty than the others, and leads on nicely from Absolution, with a lot more weird sounds than I'm used to, but I still like it. I also think Knights of Cydonia is one of the best songs I've listened to for a long time, and I'm going to put it onto tpae and play it as loudly as I can in the car and request it at RockSoc and generally love it to small and tiny bits. It's all good.
This does not take away from the fact it's unbearably hot and this is not helping my sudeen RAGE ISSUES. Bleargh.
