Thank'ee all for advice! You are glorious and well-travelled humans.

Now for the bad news; got a phone call from Simon. He has, apparently, sprung his ribs - this sounds incredibly painful and I am told that it is. It's something to do with the bone and the cartiledge going a bit out of joint with each other. Fairly obviously, he will not be playing on Saturday night, bar some sort of miracle. Fairly obviously, he is is gutted about this.

Bah. I am still going to London and so is he, so things are looking up for me at least. Possibly less so for my ficathon recipient, given I still haven't finished and will now have to do so tonight. The only minor issue with this is that I'm off to kestral_de_hara's birthday thing tonight, so, well, um.

I might be writing a lot on Sunday night, or at least getting it all on paper tomorrow to be frantically typed up. I planned to finish it last night, actually, but I got a phone call and then spent the rest of the evening comforting Simon down the phone then suddenly I was so tired I had to sleep. I SUCK. I KNOW THIS.

Right. I will see you crazy kids on Monday. BE GOOD IN MY ABSENCE.

Well, theoretically, but since it's his Last Ever Day with the NYO (he's still tagging along as the injured mascot, as far as I can tell) so I don't really want to get in the way of that.

Virtual hugs only! He tends to flinch away from hugs from anyone (bar, obviously, me) in a way that the world finds very funny, and also I think hugging him might actually crack a rib. I think I'll just cling onto his ankles when I see him...

Also, I've just found out Liz "Sarah Jane" Sladen's daughter is at York Uni!!!! I plan to find her and propose based on her mother during the seventies. Do you think it will work?
