I was not around last night because instead I was at the Buck quiz. Simon is now officially my new mascot of Buck quizzage, as he got introduced to the locals, argued with one of the answers, and in the end we came second.

Hurrah!

(Yes, I appreciate that a pub quiz is hardly the social outing of the year, but bear with me here. It's a boring place, is Ormskirk.)

The result of this, though, was that I was exhausted in silly ways today and slept like a baby when I came home. Or at least, I did so after watching Enterprise. I've really quitely gotten into it by watching by Dad. After he explained what the hell the Xindi were, the whole thing made much more sense. Anyway, I've just seen the season finale of season 3 and half of the beginning of season 4 before I collapsed into my ever-so comfy bed. I sa, of course, comfortable, when the term I am searching for is 'fetid'. Seriously, I need to clean my room. It's hideous. Especially as [livejournal.com profile] stupidore is coming to stay on Friday *sends goodwill and health vibes*

I will probably clean it tomorrow. You know. Maybe. Becuase what with only two days of work to go, I'm feeling a bit luxuriant.

Speaking of Friday, I am now getting a bit... anxious.

Um.

Here's the thing.

I am a bit weird, you see. This means I have an awful lot of friends who tend to embrace me as the weird mascot. This also means that they are wildly varying different types of people, and some of them... um... will not get on. I think. Maybe. Once there has been drinking (the plan is to hit a pub once in Southport and then hit somewhere where I can dance like a twat) I think it will not be so bad. But, basically, I have sort of come to the conclusion that I'm sorry if we end up in a pub you don't like/music you don't like. No, honestly, I am. But I cannot please everyone, and I am depressingly populist, so you should be happy enough after a wee bit of drinking. The thing is, the last time I went out dancing was in May, and it's one of my favourite types of night out. So there we are. Hopefully, though, the pub will briefly unite everyone, because I truly would like to see everyone. I don't want to to put anyone off! I want as many people as possible to turn up! And to enjoy themselves!

And if that fails, just stare at my corset. My breasts look amazing, even if I say so myself.

Hi Colleen, I just wanted to reassure you, everyone has that problem with their friends. Church people mixing with work people and god forbid they meet our family too! I've even gone so far as to have separate birthday parties for my separate friend groups. However recently I decided to just let every one show up and act like grown ups and it worked out just fine. Most people like to have arguments and disagree. There were three dissagreements at the party but all those involved later admitted it was the most fun they'd had in a while. So, don't let it worry you too much.
Cheers!

Ooh. It is Friday now, so I hope you are having a good time. And this is late bad advice. But hey ho. 'Tis your birthday, so you have a good time and I'm sure everyone else will too.

I had a bizarre dream the other night that you were celebtrating in Worcester. Do not ask why this is, I have no idea. But another friend was too, and I got lost, and it was all incredibly bizarre. (Especially as I didn't think I knew anyone else whose birthday is the 11th, but it turns out I do.) Anyway.

Happy Birthday! I hope you're having a fab evening. *g*
