Sep. 29th, 2006 04:08 pmThank fuck it's Friday is what I say.
I was so, so tired this morning, and I didn't know why. I actually went to bed at 10.00pm yesterday, but it should say a lot about my sleeping pattern that when Sarah came in at 10.30pm I actually sat bolt upright and thought "SHIT I'M LATE FOR WORK."
Yes, I am sleeping that little. I went back to bed, woke up at the usual time and still felt rubbish. Went to work. Felt more rubbish. Crashed out in a little cafe called Java Junction that I've spent two mornings in now. It's unlimited tea for £1.00, which I can deal with, especially given that I generally have an hour or two between my first lecture and the end of work. Then proceeded to buggar in the general direction of the tutorial meeting for modern history, which was the usual shambles, but I did manage to be the first name down on the list for Tuesdays. This means that whilst I will have to run around like a headless chicken on Tuesday (so many lectures and tutorials!), it means I still have Wednesdays to catch up on my sleep and Friday's completely off.
Speaking of that, I went to Leuchar's afterwards and booked my train tickets to Cambridge. I'm off next Thursday night and then I have a nine and a half hours journey on the Sunday, but I also have to read Crime and Punishment, so I think that the boredom will probably force me to read it. Might be a good thing, to be honest. The Things I Do For Love, or something like that.
Then I came home and went back to bed, and it was delicious just to lie there for a little bit. I can sleep in tomorrow, which I'm so excited about it's really very sad. Sleep! Blessed sleep! And then I can do the same on Sunday! Brilliant!
I'm going Bopping tonight for the first time since May. This is also Brilliant, although I'm going to try sticking to one type of drink and work out how much it inflames the IBS. I know that cider and wine (sob) are culprits right now, and if vodka turns out to betray me badly I'll be so upset. It might be the orange juice in it, though, so hmm.
Anyway. Off I go to carry on reading Asser's Life of King Alfred. w00t.
