hathycolUgh, so busy. I'm currently feeling really guilty for not doing any of my work but I sort of forgot to get any books from the library. I'm bushwhacked, seriously.
Yesterday was spent running around like a crazy thing. Work in the morning, straight to lectures and then three hours handing out leaflets for Wyrd Sisters. People are so rude, but some people were genuinely lovely but honestly, three hours! Brrr. Then straight to a lecture which I promptly fell asleep in before wandering home.
Why did I not work in the evening? Because I was auditioning for The Vagina Monologues. I have very little hope that I'm going to get to the call-backs, let alone the main play - I have a lot of Serious Drama Types to contend with - but it was fun, actually, and I sort of wish I might get in because I'm not a serious drama type.
If that makes sense.
Anyway. Came home, fell into bed. I then spent all night waking up in a shock, utterly convinced that it was time to get up. This was at 11.00pm and at 5.00am. I wouldn't have minded so much if it meant I actually got up for my actual time that I was meant to, as I rather desperately need a shower. I smelt offensive at work and at my first lecture, but, never mind. Tutorials were just hideous, though. I more or less accused the entire modern history department of bad teaching at one point. "WHY don't we do the thoughts on the ground in Africa? Eh? I KNOW THEY EXISTED. Why the emphasis on Conservative leaders, while I'm at it? AND, can I add, no mention of the Apartheid era in Africa but an obsession in quietly justifying imperialism." This was because I had not understood the reading. Ugh. Same was true in medieval, but fortunately I did manage to pull a presentation "with helpful hand-outs! I can e-mail for alternative formats!" out of nowhere, which is something. I made some stuff up, but it wasn't corrected. Eep.
And now, I have DocSoc this evening. SO DAMNED BUSY ALL THE TIME.
