Nov. 24th, 2006 12:39 pmI am fed up. I am. I'm at that horrible, brick wall stage where all I want to do is moan and moan and rant and eat chocolate.
I'm fed up of modern history, just in general. I'm fed up of the complete Western bias in all the cources available, and how we have to pretend that it's real history. I'm fed up of having a tutor who has arbitarily changed the gobbet hand in times, and in doing so, has given us three days to hand in the second one. It's a miracle the first one got given in. I got arsey about this after today's tutorial. She got arsey back. "It's in my seminar notes that I told you!"
"Well, it's in no one else's notes!" The rest of the class nodded. She looked a bit flustered. There goes my marks on this subject.
And I can't afford decent shoes, and that's really pissing me off. I live in comfy trainers. Unfortunately, my comfy trainers fell apart about a month back, so I bought a pair of knock-off Converse shoes from New Look. These things are not good in the rain, so I've had to dig out my old, emergency trainers which have a bit poking out the back and hitting me in the heel, so I'm in agony when I walk in them. I cannot afford new ones, so I have to measure up my options: warm but sore, cold and wet but not sore?
I have to go to work tonight and I am but a a smidgen away from just QUITTING the DAMN job and doing without the free food and extra tenner or so it brings me.
And there's just the ongoing moans, about the fact it's cold, and the house is rubbish, and the library never has the books I need, and I can't afford to go out, and Simon is somewhere I'm not and will stay as such for too long for quite reasonable reasons but I can still be fed up about it. And the radio is playing Damien Rice, which is a bit like karma putting the knife in while cackling.
Things will get better. Wyrd Sisters Reunion tomorrow night,
lone_hobbit is coming around for dinner on Monday and DocSoc is on next week. Argh. Need to sort that out, too. Bollocks.
