Jan. 5th, 2007 11:46 amBrr, the house is freezing today. *puts on thicker socks and hopes her hair dries soon* Even though we now have Exam Time Heating - heating! in the daytime! EGADS - it's still a bit chilly if I venture out of my little cocoon of a bedroom.
Yesterday I finished my Teaching Plan for my tutee, and I feel inordinately proud of myself for managing it. This means that all my time is now cleared for revising, which is today's plan. After lunch.
This is a problematic plan for two reasons.
1. I went to work today. (Which was not actually bad in any way or form, and Roy was even polite and understandable and chatting politely about Christmas. Weird.) As such, I have been up since 6.30am, home from work at 9.30am, and showered and technically ready to go at about 10.00am. It is... 11.51am at the moment. Ah. Possibly my motivation isn't quite as hipped up as it should be. Today's prospect is to get through the first week's Modern History tutorial notes and gobbets, so that I am prepared to write a gobbet on nationalism. Problem, mostly, is that I despise Modern History, but I can't spend too long arsing over it - I have lots of Medieval to worry about, and more importantly, I want to do really well in Medieval. It's for the principle of thing, but Modern is first.
I WILL WORK TODAY SO HELP ME GOD. Just, you know, after lunch.
2. Lunch is a problem for me. I've put pasta down as tonight's food. I did, however, have a massive binge yesterday on bread because I was absolutely starving. Now I am a bit crampy in a vaguely threating way and I am afraid to risk things and have a sandwich for lunch. I need to start bulk-buying potatoes.
No more livejournal for me. Honest. I'm going to go and get some lunch and get some work done and not spend all day pressing refresh on my friendslist.
Also, I need some Sarah Jane Adventures icons. I have a Gwen icon ferchrissakes, but none of the wonder of the Sarah Jane Adventures. This feels wrong to me.
