Feb. 18th, 2007 07:31 pmOkay. The roast was tasty, I admit that. My mashing and roasting skills are improving. However, it was not good enough to bleed over.
Which I did, due to over-enthusiastic cutting of a parsnip. It was a tricksy parsnip, and I decided the best thing to do was forget what years of a cookery GCSE and a couple of food hygiene courses had told me, and aim the knife towards my thumb. I am now donned in an attractive blue plaster, courtesy of
stupidore.
Buggar.
Tasty roast and tasty cheesecake, though. And I have done all my MO2006 reading today. I also smiled to see what may be the most stereotypical picture of me whilst drunk, courtesy of
pinkishmew.
The person leaning on me is
loneraven; it's her costume birthday party from back in January that the photo comes from.
And now I am going to ignore the rest of my reading and curl up with a book. Huzzah, etc.
[eta: if you're on facebook, er, someone who is surprisingly not me and indeed someone I have never met has created the Simon Dowrick Appreciation Society. Please to be joining, because I have just spent half an hour crying with laughter down the phone at him. He made me stop inviting people after the first fifteen, so, you know, go and join of your own volition because he is flailing impressively about the entire thing. And if this message is gone in about half an hour, you can assume I just got an earful about it, but I do not care because it is the funniest. thing. EVAR.]
