It's been a busy, busy day, but thus far, it's been a good one, I think. To begin with, I am the Queen Of Essays, and I've finished the two that were due in today and got them into the various boxes with nearly five hours to go. Score! One to do this week (3,000 words, though...) and I'm free for Easter.

However, more importantly, today has been Election Day in St Andrews. I've been supporting [livejournal.com profile] graemecase - better known as Mohawk, a name and description - for the last few weeks, and I spent today donned in bright pink and shouting at people. I did this outside of the library, so I do apologise to anyone that dared come past us.

Elections seem to be pretty busy this year. It was quiet last year, but there's been pretty fierce competition for most positions and it must have been a hell of a guantlet to try and get some books from the library. Katie, Sarah and I were all leaping at people and saying, in tandem, 'MAKE IT FUN, MAKE IT MOHAWK!' whilst thrusting leaflets in their faces. To make matters more intimidating, we were also all dressed in bright pink to match Mohawk's hair. Oh dear. We also had to fight off the campaign of the other two people fighting for that role. One we were all happy to work with. The other... well, I won't name names (yet - not until after all the results are announced) is bloody awful and his supporters were worse. I hope he doesn't win. Mohawk for the win!

I came home to discover that I'd recieved a parcel. I have recieved very little mail this year, so I was unfeasibly exciting. It was a care package from home, with lots of very indulgent name brand foods as well as all my unopened mail. However, there ws no accompanying letter, so I am a tiny bit confused as to why my parents decided to Show Me They Cared. Obviously I am glad that they did, but I go home in two weeks or so. Hmmm. Odd.

Anyway. I am now home alone, having abandoned Katie to do the last couple of hours flyering. I feel bad, but I'll make food tonight in return. Presuming, of course, that anyone comes home; I have a nagging feeling it might just be me home tonight. I made noises about going to the Bop, which I would like to do. I want to show off my hair, which is really quite frighteningly pretty. I should, you know, wash it tomorrow, which is why I should show it off tonight. However, I can't drink (antibiotics, what joy) and I have no idea with whom I will actually go Bopping, considering that Sarah is off with... er... well, actually, none of us are sure what's going on there... and Katie will be trying to stop Mohawk going mad from the waiting from the election counting.

I think I might go out to the library and pick up a DVD and watch that tonight, if I don't end up going out tonight. OH MY GOD LIE IN TOMORROW.

You should go along to the count with katie and mohawk! It's always good fun! I'll be there for the most part too! i remember at the last count I ended up chucking love hearts at people and lying on the floor hovering maltesers....

Rumour has it only one person is allowed in with the candidate this year? I'm going to head out to the Union anyway, I think, so maybe I'll sneak in. Hmm.
