Jan. 16th, 2013 08:53 pmCan I just take a moment to point out that I have not even been slightly affected by the helicopter crash in London, unless you include when I had to text Mum to assure her of the same. Or lots of people in work being late. Either of them.
Yesterday I went to see Sue Perkins record Dilemma! I sat on the third row and probably stared in a slightly creepy way! Oh Sue Perkins, how I adore thee. She was much funnier when unscripted, and I'm curious to see how much of the show will be edited out. I also particularly enjoyed getting to see her say "And BAKE!" live, which is the most middle-class sentence I have ever said.
Also, I knew about the ticketing system in advance due to
loneraven and
tau_sigma and they were right, it is a marvellously civilised system. You turn up, get your ticket stamped, and then go off and do your own thing until the show starts, so if you don't get in you know about it SUPER early and if you do then you can go off and have something to eat and stay out of the cold which by the way it very much is right now.
So, in conclusion, I thoroughly advocate going to see a BBC recording if you can wangle tickets. But stay away from Dilemma, THAT'S MY PATCH NOW. I can say this, you see, because I'm also going next week which definitely don't look like I'm a stalker. What can I say, my love for Sue Perkins is a long-standing one.
Now I am exhausted. It was been a moderately long week and I am very aware it's only Wednesday, and I have all sorts of things coming up but I think tonight is an early night.
