hathycolI need a list right now, so that I can be a Happy Happy person rather than opt to spend all day curled up in bed.
Things That Are Pretty Damned Awesome.
1. Music! Music is great and the radio has become my best buddy. Radio 1 is playing the new Arcade Fire record a lot, which is a bizarre, loud, deep song with full church organs and just a melody that takes you away with it, and to complement that, the sheer weirdness of the new White Stripes song, which is called 'Icky Thump' and is just generally awesome. I have also developed the slightly distressing habit of listening to ClassicFM late at night, which I appreciate is not proper classical music and just populist, but I enjoy it, because it plays populist stuff that I know. It had the entire Nutcracker suite on last night and I lay back, shut my eyes, and imagined swirling around a ballroom in a diaphonous pink gown that fitted me gloriously. It was a lovely break.
2. Revision is... going.
3. I am off to LaserQuest in... half an hour or so. This is clearly an awesome thing, and I wil enjoy running around at people, screaming 'DIE!' with the freakishly large amount of people who are turning up (about fifteen, from what I can tell) and then I will have an inordinately large Chinese buffet meal. Hurrah!
4. I have next week off work so at least sleep is going to become less pathetic. I was in bd by 9.30pm last night because I was so utterly shattered.
5. I'm going into the MO2006 exam with a coursework average of 17. That makes life much easier for the exam.
These are all rather fabulous and good things, really, they are. But right now, I'm just tired. I feel bad because I haven't done any revision today and I have less than a week to finish off the lot and next week is going to be The Week From Hell. Ugh. Roll on 11.30pm on Friday 18th, that's what I say.
