I am still on Time Off Mode. This is a brilliant and clearly awesome thing, and is resulting in me floating around at the beach, mostly. I walked most of West Sands yesterday with my jeans rolled up above my knees, carrying my trainers. I did the same on East Sands today, mostly for memeories sake. I spent a fair whack of first year on East Sands, but I actually think I prefer it in the dark, because it's so gloriously lonely just to wander around at 2am. (I had insomnia last year during exam season, too.) West Sands, that great sweeping expanse of white sand and blue sea, is much prettier.

Other than that, I have been gloriously devoid of action, although the next few days promise some excitement and possibly seeing some people. Barbeques with [livejournal.com profile] amaunet and coffee with [livejournal.com profile] susie22 and 300 on Wednesday night and POTC3 on Thursday. It's all good.

However! I have done something quite exciting today. I am going to see Spamalot! In London! On June 18th! I have even managed to book a horrendously cheap and probably very nasty B+B in central London, near Victoria station, the plan being to roll up on the train and get back the next day. My summer is looking to be increasingly depressing again (see my posts from last summer if you want to see some real familial misery in action; when I wasn't being the emotional crutch for my mum, or the maid to try and support the family, or being the punching bag for Megan, I was cleaning up after elderly people) and I need Things That Are Good to look forward too; going to see a musical is definitely high up there, and having a day to be touristy with Simon (who is remarkably willing to put up with my urges to haul people around museums) is also a good thing.

Also, I have ice cream. WIN!

I sincerely hope that your B&B near Victoria is not the Belgrave house hotel, because it really is nasty there! I much prefer the Regent Palace Hotel near Piccadilly, as it is just as cheap but slightly more cheerful. But, Spamalot is awesome! You will laugh so much you will wet yourself, I guarantee!

IT's not! It's the Colliers Hotel; cheap, probably nasty, but oh well...

Everyone keeps on telling me that I will pee myself laughing. I'm not entirely sure if this is a ringing endorsement or not...

Hurrah for the Colliers Hotel! I'm sure it will be wonderful.
And as to the play, I'm sure if you don't drink too many fluids beforehand you will manage to avoid wetting yourself. But it is hilarious and will have you rolling around your seat in laughter and singing along with the songs as soon as you hear them. Look out for the dance routine before the interval - it is AMAZING.
