DAD IS HERE IN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AND I AM SO MANY LEVELS OF NOT PACKED THAT IT ISN'T FUNNY.

Actually, that's a lie. I've packed up everything except my laptop, my stereo, my bedclothes, pajamas, clothes for tomorrow and toiletries, but I feel utterly utterly PANICKED. Because the kitchen is filthy - all my stuff is packed, but no one else's is - and I can't clean it until people get back or downstairs or whatever, and the bathroom is just as bad despite not one thing I own being in there and we need to have everything cleaned but it is not and OH MY GOD DID I MENTION THAT MY FATHER WILL POTENTIALLY BE HERE VERY SOON? I am going to be up until midnight scrubbing the kitchen floor. Again.

I am on LJ because, well, there's nothing else I can do, so I feel panicked and also useless.

Pirates of the Caribbean, by the way, is rubbish in a sort of glorious way. Bollocks to Depp and Bloom, Keira Knightly was possibly the most attractive thing I have seen in a long time. Also imperialism, capitalism, and the British, are to blame for everything.

Also, today is the 25th May. I am metaphorically wearing my lilac.

At home in Ormskirk tomorrow. May be slightly incommunicado for a while. My apologies.

[eta: clearly the thing to do is dance around the kitchen to AC/DC rather than clean. Ys.]

oh yes, that's what i meant to do. being as i am going back to huddersfield tomorrow. my life makes no sense.
thankyou, though.
PotC was indeed gloriously rubbish. Extravagantly so. Bloom had a couple of good moments, but Depp for once did not do it for me. But hey, I watched Vanity Fair today and fell in love with James Purefoy, so possibly my comments are not to be trusted.
Much love
xx
