1. Having a wake for the defined Harry Potter canon is a really, really great idea. Iona and I sat around in a diner in Liverpool and cried with laughter and tried to pick songs on the jukebox that suited the mood. Unfortunately, our jukebox didn't work, but that's not the point. I'm not giving Monday justice as a day, I'm hobnestly not; it was the best day I've had in a while.

2. My grandad is a bit flooded out. By that, I mean 'under two foot of water' flooded out. REPENT YE SINNERS, THE END IS NIGH.

3. Hairspray is really good! Also there was a trailer for Stardust, which I got a bit excited about.

4. Yesterday, I was putting a lady who we will call... er... Lily? for the sake of anonymity. So, the TV is still on the background, and a Harry Potter trailer comes on. Now, Lily is what we cheerfully call 'completely gaga'. She is a lovely, lovely woman but has no idea about current events or indeed, what she ate for her dinner. Anyway, she looked up at Daniel Radcliffe, giggled, and said:

"He could do with some underpants!"

I have no idea if she was making a topical joke about Equus or if she was just being loopy but I actually howled with laughter and then she laughed too and it was just a really lovely moment. I am also being acceptd at work - they are bitching with me! There are others who are lower in the social status! Hurrah! oh god I'm an awful person - so all in all, things could be worse.

And now I have to have some lunch before I go to work. Hurrah! Etc.
