Off to see the Wizard

hathycolWell, I'm not, but I am off to St Andrews tomorrow morning.
I am, you understand, completely unprepared. Or at least, I feel like I am. I haven't done that much packing because rather cunningly I didn't actually unpack anything at summer. I've jumped on a suitcase for my clothes, I've sorted out Electrical Stuff, I just have to pack up my radio, my pajamas and other stuff that I need for tonight. I'm cleaned out my car for the first time in about two years, I spent this morning looking at the engine in a sort of bemused way but I'm pleased to announce that my cautious fiddling has led to less of the horrible grinding noise. I was even covered in oil and everything, I felt quite proud. There is even a full tank of petrol in there and everything.
I've been shopping for essential supplies - bought myself after lending my mother £200, how the fuck I eat for the rest of September is apparently of secondary importance to her holiday in Magalouf - and all is sorted except for putting it in the car. That, or I'm going to have some horrible discoveries when I get to St A's. I have my job back, I'm all packed, the car is ready, I just need to stop worrying.
However.
In the first of what I think will be many tussles with the estate agent, they have just let us know that we don't get the keys until the lead tenant plays the rent. I am the lead tenant, and me and my chequebook are travelling the furthest distance. As such, I'm up at about 5.15am tomorrow with the aim of being in the car and ready to go by 6am. Oh, god. At least Simon is in the car to keep me awake, as will be a very loud radio and possibly an IV drip of caffiene. It's all good. BE GRATEFUL HOUSEMATES OF AWESOME.
I'm not sure when I'll be online again - we have not internet yet, plus I have to go and be a tour guide for my grandfather on Tuesday ARGH HELP - but I will try and do so posthaste. Honestly.
I cannot wait to be back. There's some people I miss here, but I miss a lot of people in St A's too.
