Oct. 11th, 2007 10:57 amRight now, my internet, DocSoc's next episode, my tax stuff for the car and all the stuff I need in order to learn is swirling around in the mire that is the Post Office. Argh.
As people may know, I am generally in favour of strikes, and I had sympathy for this one when it was organised and when I heard about the pensions problems, but now? Wildcat strikes IN ALL THE PLACES THAT MY STUFF IS?
I have no sympathy. Bring in the army! Make them work! Please! All I want is an internet connection and two out of my three major problems will be solved!
If anyone can get The Pirate Planet to me via a non-Post Office way by Tuesday then I will love you forever and will, quite genuinely, pay cash for it. It needs to be able to be played on a standard DVD player. Because I can't afford to go and spend £60 on a boxset in Dundee right now. Or EVER.
Also, while we're on the rant about public services, let me say that whilst I have a great respect for the NHS, misdiagnosing my mother twice now and letting us all worry that she had lymphoma for two months and then saying actually it was what they thought she had in the first place? NOT ON.
And now I have to go and read about Braveheart. I had so better go home and find some post, that's all I'm saying.
[eta: no post, but I have the best secretary ever. If you see Richie in the street, please hug him.]
