Oct. 25th, 2007 11:00 amIt is very, very cold in St Andrews at the moment. Not having to walk to work in the freezing fog was a wonderful thing, and it totally makes up for the fact I won't be able to eat again until after Christmas to pay off my MOT bill. It's sort of lovely, though; what I always remember and wish for fondly in the heat of summer in Liverpool is to be wrapped up with tights under jeans and a scarf on before it even hits November. Unfortunately, my heating bill promises to be rather expensive this year, but right now we're being very economical. My bedroom is unfortunately the smallest in the house and is also apparently the coldest, though, so I suspect I may have to buy another blanket before the winter is out. Eh. I have a sleeping bag that I can put under my quilt if worst comes to worst.
I am currently meant to be working, as I have an essay due in tomorrow. By some miracle, though, I'm not having particularly awful writers block with it(we'll see how the rest of the semester goes) so I should be done with it by early evening, can edit in the late evening and have it handed in tomorrow, presuming I don't have my usual semi-hysterical argument with the library computers regarding Why They Don't Like USB Sticks. It's all good.
Of course, then I have a frantically busy few weeks of a presentation and two more essays and one immediately after Reading Week, but it's best not to think about that just yet. Tomorrow will be a day of sorting through Italy photographs and going out and buying a Halloween costume. By 'buying a Halloween costume' I mean 'sorting out my cheap yet awesome Doctor Who themed costume' which I am keeping secret in case I wuss out and just put on the Jayne hat that
jennnlee knitted.
Internet on Monday! Theoretically. Fingers crossed?
