Well, I'm off 'home' on Thursday so I thought it might be best to get my social calander and butterfly self out now. Obviously I have many friends in the Liverpool and Lancashire corner of the world, all of whom I would like to catch up with.

BUT.

I am back to the 'Kirk on Thursday. I will be good for nothing on Thursday evening, as I will have driven home in the cold, dark and after having done a shift at work in the morning. Friday is Simon's 21st so I am probably taken up for most of that day being a nice person and so on and so forth.

Here comes the fun part. At the carol concert on Sunday, between the usual prayers for the hungry, the lonely and the ill, there was a call to pray for 'those who are working over Christmas'. Er. That's me. I'm not working Christmas Eve or Day, but I am working Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day as well as about eight shifts or so dotted about here and there.

I am also going home on the fifth on January on the basis that, you know, I have exams in January and I am somewhat panicking about them.

Er. So if you want to see me then fair enough, but let me know in advance and whatnot.

Anyway. Today I went to my last academic class ("of course my gobbet was crap, I wrote it whilst basting a turkey and drinking red wine"), talked to my landlady and got a lot of stuff sorted (no rent increase next year! THANK GOD) and sent off all my stuff for the post. Tomorrow I am going to pack and go a bit mad in the library for all my reading but tonight is DocSoc night; come along!
