hathycolMy housemates and I are still in the "I TOTALLY MISSED YOU GUYS AND ALSO HOLLYOAKS TIME" phase where we're all very friendly to each other. We are often very friendly to each other being, you know, close friends, but post-holidays it's more evident. Or possibly I just sort of blindly love all about St Andrews at the times when I return from the passive smoking and shouting. Either way.
Since we have exams coming up, the sheer stress and hormonal levels will result in us all expressing frustration in our own ways (I'll be cleaning at midnight again, won't I?) until we get out of exams and realise how much we love and adore each other, or something like that.
The first signs are beginning to show, though. I'm remarkably zen-like and calm about the whole thing at the moment, having accepted that nothing I do for exams will ever balance out the sheer luck aspect of them, and just working as hard as I fancy and really putting the steam on next week. I just came up the stairs after Hollyoaks (oh, crappy soaps, how I love thee) to see our hallway window steamed up with the word "DOOM" written in the steam.
Huh, I thought.
"Sarah? Did you write DOOM on the window?" I could hear both her and Katie laughing at this point. "Or are we about to enter a bad horror film?"
"Uh, yeah," replied Sarah. "GRRR."
God, I love being back here. I do I do I do. Using my brain again and being able to eat what I want and sleep when I want and stuff like that is just marvellous at the moment, it really is. I am thoroughly aware I will be in full Underpants On Head mode in a few days when I can count down my exam dates in terms of 'less than a week' but right now I'm pretty cheerful.
ALso I have got through Braveheart and never have to see Mel Gibson's arse again whilst sober. WIN.

i will be trying to visit my alex in februaryish... expect to hear from me. i may well write doom on something.
