Feb. 26th, 2008 02:14 pmAs people may, or may not, know, I live in a house with only four channels. This is clearly barbaric, obviously, so quite often various people try to advertise to me about having three million more TV channels. They do by bribing me by telling me about exciting new shows that are on.
Anyway, there I was watching Loose Women when somene mentioned Terry Pratchett's 'The Colour of Magic. With PICTURES.
Why did I know nothing about this? When is it out? Who's making it? Hogfather was great, is it the same people? So I go a-googling. I am disappointed to find out David Jason is Rincewind, and very worried to see that Sean Astin is Twoflower, but wait a minute, Christopher Lee is playing Death? And Tim Curry is in it? Do we get The Luggage? And the Librarian?
I don't particularly like the book, but hell, I don't care. WHY wasn't I told about this? Poor show, fandom.
And speaking of poor shows, I'm going to go and get on with my presentation. It's going to be unpleasant, I think.
