As part of The Week O' Positivity, I am going to say three good things about every single day this week. In fact, they will be just the top three good things. There may even be MORE good things which I may not be arsed to list. WHO KNOWS WHAT MY WEEK WILL BRING.
1. Today, it's been sunshiney. This doesn't mean a lot, as I actually despise the heat. However, I do love crazy things like natural light. Living in Scotland sends me a little loopy around the end of January, when it seems like it's going to be dark for all time and the world will end. Now, however, it's just getting properly light when I leave the house at 6.45am and it was light for nearly twelve hours. The fact it's apparently going to snow tonight is by the by. Vitamin D, baby!
1a. The daffodils in the garden are just beginning to bloom. I have a garden! With flowers!
2. I have also managed to get myself involved in a political campaign today. More on that later. It's not what you think. Unless you're
stupidore or
pan_ann. It's awesome, in a sort of 'omhigodwhatamidoing' sort of way.
3. I'm only just beginning to flag, and it's quite late in the day for that to happen for me. I leapt out of bed this morning - admittingly on the back of a screamingly awful nightmare which in retrospect was really lame - and have remained leapy all day. For me, this is a miracle and I've got through hundreds of pages on (St?) Thomas More.
See? POSITIVE.
Now I am going to go and give up on a biography of Henry VIII, phone Simon, and curl up with My Lady Ludlow, as I am Improving My Mind by reading a book that is officially a Classic. A trilogy of books, no less, even if I am only reading them because I liked the telly adaption. Shush.
[eta: It would be a lot easier to remain positive if my wireless stick did not keep on CRAPPING UP.]
