Mar. 4th, 2008 04:02 pmOkay. Trying very very hard to be positive and to not freak out here. So! Positivity!
1. I did loads of reading yesterday and am officially Ahead on the whole essay research thing. This is a very good thing because I may well have not been to the library today. Ahem.
2. I've done my laundry and as such have an exciting week of clean clothes ahead of me.
3. Tonight in DocSoc, which is always a good thing!Except for the fact that, erm, we may not have the DVD we need for tonight through a long and convoluted set of reasons. I can just show another DVD, obviously, but it's always the really good ones that seem to cock up. It's all my fault on this one, I thoroughly realise. I'm now in the process of trying to track one down and might just have to go without a social life for a couple of weeks to buy the appropriate discs.
However, I am being POSITIVE. If the DVD craps up, it craps up. People don't necessarily come for the episode itself, and one of the advantages of having a new and shiny DVD library is so that we can always have a contingency plan. The night will still be very good indeed. And given that I'm using Borusa as my Presidential icon, I think the fact that I've not yet tried to destroy the world as an attempt to gain immortality and have just mucked up the acquisition of one DVD, I think it's pretty good.
If someone in St Andrews has the S1 boxset and wants to help a girl out, seriously, now would be a good time to speak out.
ETA: See, positivity WORKS. Just recieved a phone call sorting out the whole thing and generally all is now good and shiny. If only that technique would work on essays...

Date: 2008-03-04 10:38 pm (UTC)How long for? Thursday in itself is a good as a day, other than the usual work and then class between 10-11am, but the rest of the day is good. Are you doing a Jaunt Around Scotland and only staying a day, or do I get the pleasure of your company overnight? Friday also has work (I can scive, though) and a class between 11-1 that I can't skive but other than that? All yours.
E-mail me with details! (Just so that, you know, the weather has a good run up to starting snowing again or something ridiculous.)
