Apr. 6th, 2008 11:54 amThere is snow on the ground. I just want that to be recorded. It's April 6th, people!
I'm not sure what I think of that, really. I actually really grew to like Donna, which is obviously a good thing, because I think that the Doctor needs a friend. He does, honestly, and as long as it not all comedy frolics along the way, that's fine by me. The episodes all look a bit Old Skool in places anyway, and with a companion as a friend, I think that's a bit great.
Baddy-wise, Ms Wormwood for Sarah-Jane Adventures totally bestedRacquel sorry, Miss Foster. The aliens were really rather cute, though, even if the CGI was a bit iffy. I can't help but think that Who has its Tribbles now, you know?
HOWEVER. Martha>Rose because hey ho, she has not influenced him to kill children. Okay, that's unfair, but I think it's true and I was really, really chuffed that she got the mentions that she clearly deserved. GOOD ONE.
If Rose had been at the back of the crowd, or maybe she'd just turned around at the end or something, I'd have been happy. Happier, maybe. Instead, we got a full-blown moment of angst, and music that I clean toilets to (true story: when at work, it helps to have on music ad for some reason, the Doomsday music works well in bathrooms) and my Dad got to hear my swear in rage. BAD ONE. I hope that this doesn't happen every week and that my rage is unjustified and they treat the subject well.
As for the trailer for next week, when I won't be howling out "BEEN THERE" at all the sets, I wil be wondering why, exactly, one of the baddies seems to have come from Pan's Labyrinth. But that's by the by.
And now I'm going to go and iron my uniform for work and write the rest of my presentation for history. Good fun.

Date: 2008-04-06 12:31 pm (UTC)I was very glad to see mentions of Martha and how AWESOME she is. Perhaps time to rename the show, "Martha Is Awesome, and also there's some mystery guy who travels in time and space, but whatev." ... Perhaps not.
I watch the show as an excited child, so I don't spot bad things like CGI or stuffs.
