(no subject)

I would very much like to be asleep right now. I probably would be, as Wednesday is normally the day of The Epic Nap, where I sleep for about five hours after getting in from work and then spend the rest of the week feeling like a human being. Instead, I had a visit from the landlord (who is very nice, but good grief man, just leave!) and the fire service to check that we weren't about to be burnt alive in our beds.

We clearly haven't, or won't, but that's by the by. (And yes, I know why they check all this after a house of students burnt to death in Glasgow, but doing this every year is a chore.)

So now I'm sat, in my pajamas, on my bed. I have a large and onorous pile of work. Primarily, I need to do this last gobbet and practice my presentation, which involves either kidnapping a housemate or burbling at my mirror. Both are options. I also need to do all the DocSoc stuff, but honestly I'm at the point where that can wait until possibly the day I have to do it.

Also, I need to shower because I smell offensive, and I have to go and take minutes for AltSoc later on tonight. Oh, yay.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE... er... tell you when I find it.

Did you just complain that some firemen came round to your house? And you didn't have to get stuck in the bath or burn the dinner to have it happen? Are you sickening for something? x

Well, we have a House Wth Multiple Occupants license (it's law for student houses in Scotland) and every year, they have to do a fire inspection. He wasn't in uniform, was distinctly unattractive, and came around when I was, you know, in my pajamas and wanted to sleep.

Actualy firemen would have been far more interesting!
