Apr. 18th, 2008 05:16 pmSo, by some fairly major miracle, I've actually finished everything on my list of To-Do this week, although my AltSoc playlist is currently clearly miles off. Thanks for all the recommendations, though; as I believe I may have expressed to a few people, I PROPER LOVE YOU.
Anyway, I now have two essays to do in two weeks, but I made a decision a while ago that the work on that starts on Sunday, and that'll have to be the end of it. What I have to worry about more is the DocSoc AGM, which is tomorrow at 4pm in the TV Room. If you are in St Andrews, YOU SHOULD ATTEND. (Although thinking of people on LJ, you all are, I think?)
As our returning officer this year is, in fact, on my flist (*waves at
ann_pan*) then I suspect I'll get into trouble for using this as a massive platform to beg, plead and just simply ask that you vote me for President. Erm. Yeah. I love this society. I do. Richie is a lovely bloke, honestly, but I think I'll do a better job because, well, I know what I'm doing and I had a road map in my head for next year as it was. I have an exciting speech that I'll be reading out tomorrow, so we can worry about it then. Seriously, though, attendance alone would be wonderful, whoever you vote for. (Although I do already have a Borusa icon. Lookit!)
Anyway. I've done everything that I need to do for that, including sorting out the house for a deluge of people coming to watch Who afterwards, booked a table at a restaurant, and am generally Good To Go. More importantly, however, the DocSoc clothing has turned up! I've never been so excited to get a parcel. It looks wonderful, although I ordered a size too big. I can now walk around town in a hoodie which will either read 'No, not the mind probe' or, due to mild insanity at time of ordering, 'I HAS A YANTOE!' Oh dear. Good fun, though.
Brr, I'm chilly. I think I'm going to head downstairs and weigh up the pros and cons of going out tonight whilst eating food and watching Hollyoaks. I am so tired it's beyond belief, but it's worth it for the empty space that is now my To Do list.
