hathycolSorry, this whole week has either been a plea for help or a pimp to come and enjoy social occasions where I'd like you to be there. As such!
Tonight is the Inter-Society Pub Quiz. The DocSoc team traditionally does resoundingly badly in this, and worryingly has never won the Doctor Who round. This time, I will be reading out the questions for Doctor Who, which may either improve or decrease our chances. We have a sodding ace prize, though. I mean, who doesn't want a copy of Doctor Who Adventures and a Make Your Own Sontaran Kit? (Or, to put it another way, a potato.)
It's normally quite good fun. You should all go. It is often funny.
I have now got a complete mix! HUZZAH! AltSoc is on Friday. I am not on the bill, but assured that I am in fact playing music to a slightly bemused crowd, who will probably wonder what sort of deranged mind reckons that segueing from Danish pop to William Shatner is a great idea. THIS DERANGED MIND, ACTUALLY. I'll be posting up my mix later, by the way; I just need to find the time to fiddle around and put it into a zip file and other such joy. In the end, I didn't use many of the songs given to me. HOWEVER, they re all filed away and being used for neferious other things.
ANYWAY. The point is that you should be there by 10pm at the latest on Friday. I thought I was the first DJ on, but now I'm not, which is worrying as my first song doesn't mix very well. OH WELL.
ALSO I have handed in my dissertation form and done all my reading for tomorrow. Thus far, a productive day. Now I have seven books on Henry VIII and the Reformation to read before I go and heckle crowds of people with questions that I didn't make up.
