Jun. 20th, 2008 05:52 pmI have two days off work. Huzzah!
Today, however, I have mostly been trying to work through the fever that I am running to ignore all the telltale sign that my body is fighting off something. I initially assumed this was a hangover, but they don't tend to last for three days and get cumulatively worse.
As such, I went into Dundee to do some CD shopping, came back to St Andrews, wandered around a bit looking for clothes - as unsuccessful a quest as it was in Dundee - and booked an appointment to get something done to my hair tomorrow. Now, before you all question where I'm getting the money to do all these crazy things, my grandad has sent me a very nice letter with my birthday present early, informing me to 'treat myself' and expressing this happiness that I am 'keeping busy'. Although I'll never be delighted at my mother's tendency to pass on all my business to literally anyone she happens to be talking to at the time, I'm pretty glad on this one.
Now I am going to go and make myself some tea, phone Grandad to say thank you (my raspy throat will, naturally, love this) and then I'm going to have an uber-early night so I am well enough to make rational hair decisions tomorrow.
