ann_pan and screaming in slightly hysterical anger because not only were they gratuitously adding in Rose, who really doesn't do anything for me anymore, they were also killing off ALL MY FAVOURITES. Ianto was the cruel icing on the cake of pain, really. Although I like that Torchwood actually managed to, you know, save the world after all. Hurrah!It was a good episode, and I enjoyed it. I did. Really. I liked the ending best, I think, but it was interesting. "There's something on your back!" was creepy and weird, and I want to know what the big important thing about her is. I mean, River Song was awed by her rather than just being sad she was dead; so it's obviously something Quite Big.
However, BOLLOCKS TO ALL THAT, because let's face it, we're all hysterical about the trailer. Not only do we get Martha and Sarah-Jane and Jack who are best described as the usual suspects (it's a good thing, honest!) we also get LUKE (no Clyde and Maria though?) and HARRIET JONES and GWEN and also MOST IMPORTANTLY OF THEM ALL we get Ianto!!!! I am filled with fear that they'll just kill off the lot of Torchwood. Oh, bloody hell, I hope that doesn't happen. OH PLEASE LET IANTO MAKE IT OUT. BUT OH it is EXCITING. If you go on the BBC website it is Jack and is is holding Ianto and that is hopefully not his dead body, oh god, I'm just going to have the fear for next week now, aren't I?

Man, I need some people to bounce off right now. This is like the Torchwood series 2 opener all over again. IS ANYONE IS ST ANDREWS AND LIKES ALCOHOL?

For the benefit of whatever percentage of Torchwood viewers don't watch Doctor Who (small number, I'm sure, but they exist), you simply can't bump off anyone in that cast during an episode of a different show. It would be confusing to explain and really come off looking like a cheap shot. If they've got any common sense (granted, this is sometimes questionable :) , I doubt they'll go there.
This does not rule out plot twists involving alternate realities or Big Red Reset Buttons, of course....
