You know, I have been pierced seventeen times in various places across my body. Not all of them are current, etc, etc, but that is a lot of needles through one body. I have a tattoo is what is traditionally a very painful area. I go through a period every month. I have suffered from all sorts of interesting and painful diseases and broken bones and bruises and burns.

But oh dear Christ never ever ever allow me to even contemplate getting my eyebrows waxed again. Now, admittingly they look quite nice and add something resembling definition to my face, but from now on it's just me and tweezers against the world. That hurts less and involves a lot less in the way of swelling and redness AND SCARY WOMEN POURING HOT WAX ON MY FACE.

How on this earth people get a Brazilian is beyond me. THERE ARE PLACES HOT WAX AND WOMEN WITH SCARY EXPRESSIONS SHOULD NOT GO, PEOPLE.

In other news, please to be starting watching Last Choir Standing as The Alleycats - of my very own university - are through to the last fifteen and they're proper ace. I would imagine. On the telly is the only way I have heard them sing.

There are people padding around the house again. It's quite nice to have other humans around the place even if they do seem to be spending and inordinate amount of time in the bathroom together.

That's one reason why I've always turned down waxing. Everyone I know is like "yeah, it's fine. It do it all the time!" And I'm like, no way am I letting someone near me with boiling hot wax and then ripping it from my skin! *shudders* Tweezers are fine, thanks.

I can see why it would be good for some women, but those women are NOT me.

The thing with waxing is that you just have to keep at it. I had my eyebrows waxed a while ago, and while I agree that it hurts like an absolute MOTHERBITCH, it lasted for ages. Which is good for me seeing as I have eyebrows akin to that monobrow baby in The Simpsons.

(Not that bad, but still not exactly delicate!)

Well, we'll see what I feel at growing back time. I might just be ruthless with tweezers, though; that hurts ever so much less!

See, I have not mentioned this, but next weekend I am going to a nudist beach and I'm thinking I may need to go get waxed but I have put off actively going somewhere and enquiring about an appointment.
Because I do not like the thought that it will hurt a lot.

Also, did I miss you getting a tattoo? What is it of and where?

Well, some people say it doesn't hurt, so I suppose it's all relative; at least you'd be assured that you had no hair in places you don't want it? It stops hurting pretty quickly, if that helps.

I'm more concerned with finding somewhere to go, Crosby is quite a dull place and I need it done erm, in the next few days. So I'm going to scout out the area tomorrow as I'm sure there's a place by my old school.

See, this is odd - by and large, waxing doesn't hurt me. I mean, the first time it was a slight shock, but now I can handle women pouring wax on my face/arms/underarms/legs/delete as appropriate. I actually find tweezing a lot more uncomfortable!

If there is anywhere near you that does it, you could try eyebrow threading rather than waxing. Much less painful and it actually gives more definition than waxing, I haven't had my eyebrows waxed in about 2 years now because threading is better and cheaper. I think some Debenhams have started doing it.

I've not even heard of that! The link says it's like epilating, though, which I have done to my legs and thoroughly regret...
