So! Glasgow!

I left on Saturdat not entirely sure what I was expecting. After three hours of a horrendou bus journey, I made it to the city itself and was surprised to see that it was both sunny and beautiful. The architecture of Glasgow is amazing; I'm not sure what I was expecting, really, but it's just this HUGE city of Georgian splendour.

Secondly, of course, I saw Sarah again! That was wonderful. We went shopping for a bit, and then headed back to her placde with a friend of hers, Fiona, and proceeded to, essentially, get trollied, before dressing up and heading out.

Here's the thing: I have never, ever been gay clubbing before and didn't know what to expect. I was promised lots of attractive young women. Possibly all of these attractive young women were ill, or managed to get into the club we didn't due to the massive queue. Instead, I spent a great deal of my night fighting off slightly predatory older women who were... not my type. At all. In any kind of way. Still, never mind; I had a wonderful night, I'm just not sure how to describe it.

The nexy day, we fought hangovers and headed into Glasgow, and I avoided the bus of death by getting a lift back with Ceri. All in all, it was a good few days.

Now I'm back in St Andrews, have apparently lost all my powers of descriptive writing, and will be spending tomorrow at work from 8am onwards. Needless to say, I am a tiny bit resentful of this. The staggered sales are starting, and I will spend all of tomorrow selling people crappy jewellery and chasing kids out of the shop because that's what's going on sale. ARGH.

Kidswear, shoes, accessories, sunglasses and watches. GO GO GO! IT's actually a really good bunch of reductions. I know this as I am covered in red pen and just came back from two hours and marking them down myself.

Ah, Glasgow is pretty cool. We walked everywhere when we went to visit my gran, the buses are a bit odd, I couldn't really work them out.

I loved it! And I didn't have to take a bus except for the direct St Andrews-Glasgow one.

I spent the weekend in Glasgow too. I don't know how far you made it out of the City Centre but the post-war tenements of Shettleston and Easterhouse are sadly neither Georgian nor splendid.

Well, I was only in Uddingston and the centre, so I'm pretty aware I only saw the good bits. Still, it was nice.
