So, yesterday was a funny sort of day. As I came into work at 1pm, all the lights were off in the corridor and stockroom behind the shop and as I peered into the basement that was pitch black too. "Huh," I thought, and discovered half the lights were out in the shop too. My manager sent me next door to enquire what was going on with Costa, and they had the same vaguely mystifying problem. Turned out all the shops of Market Street are on a two-cable electricity thing, and a builder had dug through one. Well, these things happen, and we carried on our day, as the tills and computers were still fine.

Towards 5pm, the lights had been back for about two hours. I had just pottered down to the very back of the very dark basement and then suddenly... no lights.

I swear, it was pretty much every single horror film you've ever seen HAPPENING TO ME. In the two seconds before the dim emergency bulb came on, I could swear I vaguely heard a weird voice calling my name. Turns out it was my emergency manager with the weird echo the basement produces, checking that I was still alive.

In other news, I'm going to wee WALL-E tonight, because I have never, ever heard such conflicting revews about a film. Also, there's nowt on the telly and it's boiling hot. The walk, apart from anything else, will be nice.

OMG, I hate it when the lights go off completely. It's horrible.

Also, Wall-e is the sweetest film ever. It just made me so happy inside.

It was creepy and scary. Unlike Wall-E which was the BEST FILM EVER MADE.

Oh, arg! *hugs* That sounds awful. I would have been freaking out so much.

I hope you like Wall-E! I thought it was all measures of adorable.

It was so cute! Kids sitting behind me, not so much, but I loved the film!

Wall-E is great, ignore anyone who says otherwise. I have yet to hear any negative remarks about that film. The little robots will restore your faith in humanity - oddly.

My Maestro thinks it's a great film. I still don't think I'll see it, purely because I have no monies :( not till I get paid anyway :)
