I have a very, very long To Do list for this weekend. Thus far, I managed to go out on the wine last night with Ceri - red wine, you are my downfall, I can control myself on rose for some strange reason - and have spent this morning wincing through a mild headache. I have also been out and flogged some books to the bloke at the secondhand bookstall. He refused to buy Bleak House because "it's the worst novel ever written" but gave me a fiver for a few books, which I promptly then spent on books, a Saturday newspaper, and some lunch. My pleasures in life, they are small. Given my Saturday newspaper just more or less howled "RECESSION RECESSION NO MORE SUN DRIED TOMATOES AND EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL FOR YOU" I felt good that at least I can be entertained on the cheap.

I have also done my laundry, so that's something else off the To Do List Of Doom. The house reamins dirty and my dissertation remains stubbornly unresearched, but I have now invested in some highlighters, Post-It notes and a USB memory stick so I can get flying on my primary research. After this I'm going to go and attack my laundry with gay abandon and then clean the sodding house because it's currently disgusting and driving me mad.

I am so rock and roll it's almost painful.

Hee. At least you can do laundry... the bloody laundry room is only open half an hour either side of the hours I work and I'm going to run out of clothes halfway through next week! So today is just reading and watching DVDs, what party animals we are ;-)

Having now essentially demolished the dust bunnies in the house, I'm going to go out to Tescos, get some dips and crisps, and read some cheap vampire novels. This is my Saturday night...

You've achieved far more than me. No cleaning, exchange Tescos for the communal kitchen and vampire for crime and you have my Saturday night...

Though due to the sheer amount of work in term time, it's actually rather nice just to spend my evening reading! Until I went on holiday I hadn't seen a book that wasn't a textbook for many months.
