Sep. 10th, 2008 03:17 pmChrist, even Loose Women was talking about that hadron WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE etc collider thing (in terms of "I don't want the world to end today, I've got carpets going in on Friday" admittingly). However, after watching Doctors whilst doing my ironing - why yes, I do think I'm having a productive week off - I discovered UNEXPECTED TORCHWOOD.
I had no idea this was even happening! Basically, Torchwood plus Martha do a radio play about the hadrn collider thingy. I go "OMFG SOD YOU MARK SLOAN!" and scamper towards listening to Radio 4 instead. Seriously, unexpected Torchwood that also comes with a generous helping of Martha is ALWAYS win.
So, you know, I enjoyed it. Would have quite liked a reference to "Oh, so, hey, did you get rid of that Dalek residue in the Hub yet?" but that's fine. Can't go fiddling with canon, I imagine.
I did, however, like Ianto very much in this, disguised as the ambassador for Wales. And we even got a good helping of emo Ianto, which Gwen rather unsuccessfully attempted to couter with "Come on, Ianto! There's Jack! And coffee! Jack and coffee!"
It was all a bit fluffy, but a good filler while I wait for the Sarah Jane Adventures to come and fill me with Doctor Who based glee.
I have nothing to talk about than unexpected Torchwood, and the fact I just painted my nails purple. Starting tomorrow, I can pack and all that, but today is just a bit quiet, really.
