So, today is Wednesday. It is half 12, and I have all the songs I plan to play for my Altoc set on Friday, which is Fresher's Week and therefore there will be people who turn up as soon as the event starts, at 8pm. My set is at 10pm, and therefore everyone will be sufficiently drunk to dance like loons. Which I want, but does mean that the playlist needs to not suck.

So no pressure there. I'm starting with MGMT, of that much I am sure. Other than that, I need to somehow arrange an hour of fairly varied music - I did make my bid on the basis of 'Indie music to make freshers dance like they're smashed off their faces of crappy cider which will ironically be true' - into a smooth running order, noting how many seconds I have to mix together, etc, etc. This is HARD, yo.

Anyway. I have to find time to do this, burn it to alternating CDs and do back-ups. NO WORRIES.

Except:

1. Tonight I am again doing AltSoc stuff, for the mix CD we put out as a society. Right, fine, but I'm down to burn 10 CDs. My computer is what one might dub 'slow'. ARGH.

2. Sarah is coming around for a drink and a catch-up in, you know, AN HOUR.

3. I have matriculation on Thursday.

4. I have work and catching up with people on Friday.

5. Sometimes I need to eat and sleep.

*flails*

YOU KNOW IF THEY'D JUST LET ME PLAY GIRLS ALOUD THIS WOULD BE MUCH EASIER.

And after all this I have things like the societies fayre to worry about. ARGH.

[eta: and now my washing machine has broken. In doing so it has stained all my clothes with rust. By 'all my clothes' I mean 'all my work clothes with what might be a spooky coincidence'. ARGH.]
