I am having a Day Off. Well, I'm not really, as I had work and then met one of my academic kids afterwards, and later on I need to go to AltSoc, but essentially I'm having a day off, free from any kind of academic work. As of tomorrow I have only ten days to write a fourth-year-level essay, but I am NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT.
It's been, essentially, an odd week. Firstly: I am the proud joint-owner of a hamster. He... has a slightly odd name. I wanted to call him LOL, because CERTAIN PEOPLE on my flist refused to call their cats that name and also I sort of promised
tau_sigma. Anyway, because he has a snuffly nose, Katie dubbed him 'Mr Snuffles'. Rather unfortunately, it stuck. I still wanted to get 'LOL' in there. He became Mr SnuffeLOLapus. We then decided this was too tricky to say and also bordered on cruelty to animals. He is now just Mister.
I will post pictures soon, don't worry. Mister is possibly the cutest thing in existence, and really friendly; we handled him last night because he's really curious about us and not at all unnerved by humans. AWESOMESAUCE.
I have also spent most of the week justifying my existence to both my tutors, who both assume they take priority in my world. In fact, Hollyoaks is currently taking priority in my world, but it seemed churlish to tell either of them that, so I sort of nodded a bit and tried not to look terrified. Fourth year is hard, yo. I barely get a chance to watch Deal or No Deal, you know.
In other news... er... oh yes, my new car remains awesome. I'm trying to get a name for it which isn't 'Legolas'. It feels like a Legolas, and now I've named it I'm not sure if I can go for something else now.
See, this is why I shouldn't have children.

*nods* Me too. When I'm having those vague moments of "omg, what if I were pregnant now and suddenly gave birth like those women in Take A Break - what would I call it?" And my answer is 'Romana'. A boy would remain unnamed until something cool enough came along.
